Last half-term, Year 2 learnt about Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. We discovered facts about their lives and looked at how conditions were different in hospitals in the Crimea War and now. We examined artifacts, made observations and asked historical questions. We thought about their contribution and how this made them significant figures. Finally, we created a medal to recognise their contributions.
