Compliments and Complaints

"My daughter has often struggled with her confidence in the subject of Maths, and sometimes it has been difficult to get help with it. However, she joined Y6 last September and before October half-term Miss Smethurst had already identified her needs and had started putting things in place. I could see that my daughter was already benefiting from Miss Smethurst’s support. She has grown in confidence throughout the year thanks to Miss Smethurst’s interventions and the help of the wonderful team of teachers that have guided her through and I can’t tell you how much this is appreciated by both myself and her.

Today I had the opportunity to come into school to meet with Mrs Young to go through a SATS paper with my daughter. It was lovely. It is clear to see that Mrs Young has taken the time to really get to know her and the way she learns and has created an environment in which she can learn without fear of getting it wrong. I am blown away by my daughter’s progress and how confident she has become.

Thank you to Miss Smethurst and Mrs Young and to all the other amazing teachers who have helped my daughter along the way."

Following our Maths SATS Workshop:

"After this session, I feel more confident in supporting revision for SATS"

"Enjoyed the session, the teacher was clear and engaging."

"Very professional and very useful to prepare for SATS"

"The sessions were informative and useful in teaching me how to help my child."

"I just wanted to pass on some recognition for Miss Johnson in Year 1. She’s been an exceptional teacher for my son all year, and always makes sure he’s heard and she advocates for my son while I’m not there, which is truly comforting knowing he’s in good hands.

But this morning, my son’s picture blew away on to the roof above the foundation stage and he was distraught. His picture creations mean the world to him and we couldn’t find a way to get it back. When the doors were opening, Miss Johnson could tell straight away how much this had upset my son, and she managed to use her resources to get it back (another teacher was in the room supervising others) and found my child’s smile again.

She goes above and beyond every time, and I just wanted to credit her incredible teaching and care for the children. I fear some teachers would just say “it’s ok, make a new picture”, but she knew how much that picture meant to my son!"
